Get to Know Dr. Paul Scott
Dr. Paul Scott is a highly regarded endodontist in Melbourne who has performed over 35,000 root canals in his career. He graduated from Northwestern University Dental School in Chicago, served in the United States Navy, and went on to receive his Certification in Endodontics and Master of Science degree from Northwestern University. He was a Clinical Assistant Professor at Northwestern Dental School as well as on the attending staff at Evanston Hospital. Dr. Scott was the first to bring “Microscopic Endodontics” to the Space Coast of Brevard County, Florida and the first to promote utilizing microscopes for “every patient, every case.”
Dr. Scott, and his wife, Diane, restored a circa 1910 Sears Craftsman home as their endodontic office, Associated Endodontists of Melbourne, which they opened in 2001 after moving from Chicago. It has been cited in Florida’s Master Database in Jacksonville for historical sites, and patients love the experience of walking through the door with a beautiful view of the Indian River.
State-of-the-art technology is used by Dr. Scott in his endodontic practice, including Gentlewave® Root Canal Procedure and Cone-Beam computed tomography (CBCT), an innovative medical imaging technique that provides him with three-dimensional views of a patient’s dental structure. Patients can feel at ease at the cottage-styled office knowing he utilizes high-definition 3D imaging and ZEISS microscopes.
Just like all parents, they’re proud of their children’s successes who all grew up in Brevard County, Florida and attended Holy Trinity Academy.
